From Survival Mode to Creating Generational Wealth

Zebunisso Alimova

A chance conversation over coffee sparked something magical – the realization that wellness and wealth are not separate paths but beautifully intertwined journeys. Kimmy Tasker, co-founder of Retreat Yourself NZ, shares her remarkable journey from teaching yoga in London's exclusive clubs to facilitating transformative retreats across the globe.

What happens when you blend financial wisdom with spiritual wellness? As Kimmy reveals the evolution of her international retreat career, she and Zeba explore the revolutionary concept of their upcoming Limitless Living retreat in Fiji. This isn't just another wellness getaway – it's a profound opportunity to transform your relationship with abundance while reconnecting with your authentic self.

The conversation delves into how scarcity thinking keeps us trapped in cycles that don't serve us, while an abundance mindset opens doors to possibilities we can't yet imagine. Through personal stories of overcoming financial hardship and building legacies from scratch, Kimmy and Zeba demonstrate that financial freedom isn't just about money – it's about aligning your energy with your highest purpose.

Most relationships struggle or fail because partners lack a common financial language. On this private island retreat, couples and individuals alike will discover how to communicate about money effectively, reset their energetic relationship with wealth, and return home with practical tools for creating lasting abundance. Plus, participants receive three months of follow-up support to implement their insights.

Ready to step away from the daily grind, slow down time, and see the complete picture of your financial potential? Learn more about the Limitless Living retreat happening October 24-29, 2023, and discover how combining yoga, meditation, and financial wisdom can transform your relationship with abundance forever.

Speaker 2:

Hello and welcome back Hi Kimmy, hi Zeb and Iso. Can I call you Kimmy? Of course you can Love that.

Speaker 1:

I just thought after. I was like, oh my God, you introduced yourself as Kim Tasker in the last episode. That we've done that's right.

Speaker 2:

But in your other life.

Speaker 1:

You are known as Kimmy. I am Awesome, kimmy. Well, you're here with the other head on, so tell us about who you are and what you do Fabulous.

Speaker 2:

Thank you, zebany. So pleasure to be here again. Yes, so I'm one of the co-founders of Retreat Yourself, nz. We are a wellness and health and wellbeing retreat business. We run health and wellbeing retreats overseas, internationally and also here in New Zealand, and I run that with my beautiful friend, amelia Clayton, who lives in Bali, and it is an organic business that has grown over the last 18 months and that business has fruited from my 25 plus years experience in the health and wellbeing industry as a retreat facilitator and host Retreats are becoming a big thing now.

Speaker 1:

Right, a lot more people are now looking inwards. They're looking in what has happened to them in the past, how can they heal themselves in order to move forward, and I think what you're bringing is something beautiful that helps people address those issues. So then, going forward, they don't repeat the same mistakes, whether it's in their relationships, whether it's in their parenting styles or partnerships, et cetera. So, in regards to your retreat business, you've been in New Zealand. Now You've come back. We've talked about where you've been and you've come back. Now You've done this retreats before yes, correct, yeah, yes.

Speaker 2:

So the first retreat that I was part of was with Surf Morocco in Morocco. My husband and I had moved to London to be with his sister and Maganor Vida, my brother-in-law, and while we were in London, I was teaching yoga and also I was a physical therapist at Les Ambassadors in the middle of London, which is an exclusive members-only club, and I was doing poker nights, actually doing on-site massage in this exclusive club nights, actually doing on-site massage in this exclusive club, like the Prince of Oman and whatnot, and I would work from four o'clock at night until 8am in the morning and I'd get paid poker chips in pounds. Wow, and after doing that for a couple of months and making so much money in London and my husband is a surfer and I'm from West Australia, perth we were like, oh my God, london is way too dreary for us, we need ocean.

Speaker 1:

I was about to say. I was like I don't think there is ocean around London.

Speaker 2:

Where did he go surfing. So anyway, within a very short space of time, had this great opportunity, made lots of money and was like, actually, let's look for jobs on yachts. Saw one in Greece, oh look, here's one. I'm a yoga teacher. Oh, morocco, surf Morocco. So that was where I first started my yoga retreat career and then from there we did surf Morocco. We went from working in a camp my husband and I which was very, quite rustic camp 20 plus people, mostly everyone from Europe and London to then becoming the exclusive concierge just my husband and I for exclusive guests in these luxury apartments. From one season at Surf and Rock we were invited to come back again, but we already had our itchy feet and we were like, actually, no, we want to keep going. And coincidentally, with synchronicity which is the amazing part of synchronicity, of meeting and colliding with beautiful energies like yourself is we met a beautiful couple who had come to pick up a yacht and deliver the yacht to Martha's Vineyard in America for Barack Obama's inauguration.

Speaker 1:

Wow.

Speaker 2:

They needed two people to help them out on the delivery.

Speaker 1:

Wow, and guess who those two people were? Yay.

Speaker 2:

So my husband and I, we jumped on and then from there, when we were in Martha's Vineyard, our friend that we stayed with, who is from the island and if you're familiar with Martha's Vineyard, it's off the Massachusetts coast and it's where the Anastas live and that is where Barack Obama's holiday home was when we were there and this yacht was coming for his inauguration. We ended up staying there for six months and our friend that we took the yacht over with was like you surfed, Zach and Kimmy. Have you guys ever surfed in Mexico or South America or Central America? And we're like, no, they're like, well, you're just a hop, step and a jump. Now You're here in the Americas.

Speaker 2:

So at the end of our six-month stint there, we looked into this place that he suggested to us in Mexico, and when we looked online, when I looked online, I saw, oh, they're looking for managers of their resort. So I just reached out and said, hey, we're coming on a holiday to your place and actually, by the way, I saw that you're advertising for managers. He's like we are. And we're like, well, we're coming down anyway. So we went and met him in El Salvador and while while we were there, he said actually, I think you guys are great. A couple of El Salvadorian beers you Kiwi couple you.

Speaker 1:

Sure come manage.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, come and manage this. And we were like, where is this resort? And he said Nicaragua. And I contacted my mum and was like, oh, we're moving to Nicaragua. And my mum said where's that? And I said I'm not sure. And she said do you mean Nicaragua? And I said that's it. She said, well, that's in Central America, kim. And I was like, oh, okay, because we had met him in El Salvador, I had no idea where Nicaragua was. When we moved to Nicaragua they were called Baja Bills. We moved there, we opened up AST, which is Adventure Surf Tours for them in Nicaragua. It's their first pilot one in Nicaragua and from there we ended up a whole eight-year career in Central America. We ran retreats at this most amazing beachfront boutique resort in Hacienda Iguana on the Pacific Coast and we had guests coming all the way from Newport, california and Miami. We had the pleasure of hosting.

Speaker 1:

James.

Speaker 2:

Franco, pamela Anderson. My husband always makes this little joke saying I got to teach Pamela Anderson how to surf. I was about to say that would be a good one and her boobie fell out. Anyway, she's one of my biggest fans. I love her so much. Now she doesn't wear makeup or anything. She's totally like into, like being natural. Have you followed Pamela Anderson lately? No, she's so incredible and she's such a beautiful, beautiful lady. And so, anyway, these opportunities that we had hosting and managed. My husband, zach, was the property manager of the property and I was the main concierge, but because I was also a yoga teacher, I would host the yoga classes. Then we also started doing yoga retreats. We did yoga teacher training. Before we got to our boutique resort, we actually were in three other places Rancho, santana, aqua and I worked at McCool teaching yoga, and so I fused all of the yoga experience and the health and well-being experience into property management.

Speaker 1:

How do you go from yoga to property management? That's just incredible.

Speaker 2:

And then real estate.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and then real estate. I know that's incredible Because it's lifestyle. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

It's all lifestyle and we're talking about retreats now.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and this is where the part comes in right, as I'm hearing your story is basically one. Yes has led you onto this journey of, you know, lifetime of opportunities. Now you know where you can see the future, where you can see the satisfaction it brings you, where your soul is going. Ah, this is where I'm meant to be and how you can share that knowledge and that experience with others. So what sort of retreats have you run since you've been in New Zealand and what sort of retreats have you got coming?

Speaker 2:

up Beautiful. I'm so excited to talk about the retreat that you and I and Amelia are running.

Speaker 1:

Oh, spoiler alert we are running a retreat, yeah.

Speaker 2:

So back in New Zealand, been home for five years, have run two retreats in Bali with Amelia from Retreat Yourself NZ. They've been amazing. We've hosted those on a surf beach in Balian and last year at the Pink Harcourt's Pink Ribbon auction we auctioned off one of our retreat spots and we're also doing an auction this year as well. So, anyway, one of the ladies from Harcourt's she actually was one of our guests and how it all sort of started was Pink Ribbon actually. So that's two of the retreats we have done overseas. We've also run retreats in Martinborough and also in Carpety Island. So that's with my other gorgeous girlfriend, chelsea Sirs, who's been on here.

Speaker 1:

Yes, a few episodes ago Amazing.

Speaker 2:

And we've also Chelsea and I have run quite a few retreats together, so we've got one coming up in Otaki at the Waihoanga Retreat Centre. We've run them in Taupo, in Rotorua, yeah.

Speaker 1:

So you're a retreat queen? Yeah, you've done so many retreats, yeah. Well, I'm slightly nervous and excited about this one, because this one is. We were chatting with you over coffee about real estate. This idea popped up right, and I was so passionate telling you about money and abundance and how so many people just don't know how to activate it within themselves.

Speaker 1:

And given that I've come from a family where I've lost my dad very young and I didn't have a roof over my head because after my dad passed away, we've lost our family home, my mom had to work two or three jobs to put food on the table. And then we had this opportunity to come to New Zealand and study New Zealand, and basically I didn't have a trust fund, I didn't have a big check. You know, I had to work every goddamn hour to get myself my first home and then, from there onwards, to build an empire of what I have today. It wasn't by chance, it wasn't by luck, it was by pure hard work, but also, I think it was due to me tapping into this ancient knowledge that I feel like we all have. It's just I happen to be a little bit more in tune with that that I've discovered and now I'm actually owning it. Before I was like, oh, what is this? I don't know what it is, I don't know what to do with that. But the more research I'm doing and the more mindfulness that I'm doing in meditation, it's coming to me that it's ancient knowledge. It's within us, we all have it. Let's tap into it. How do we tap into it? How do we tap into it?

Speaker 1:

You know, the abundance mindset, not the scarcity, because it's so easy to go down the spiral of scarcity mindset that there may not be enough food, there may not be enough opportunities. You know, I mean, how many real estate agents we've got on the coast. You know you could have gone. Oh my god, I can't do this because there's so many agents already out there. But you've, you've done that and you're doing an amazing job. You know, and that's what I'm passionate about is to show people there are other opportunities out there.

Speaker 1:

And this is how we decided oh my God, let's bring that aspect to your retreats, because in your retreats, obviously they're fantastic. They're fabulous. You're doing lots of yoga and natural. You know eating and healing and experiences that people have. But what I find that people go to those retreats. They have amazing experience, but then they come back to the daily stresses of finances and dealing with finances and finances is that immortal thing that everyone will always have to deal with. We've been dealing with finances for our entire life and after coming back from such a fantastic retreat, you know they now got a bill to pay, or you know life to plan and building that generational wealth that we don't talk about enough is. People don't do that and, as a mother of four children, I always think about what legacies I'm leaving behind for my kids. So this is how I guess this idea came up is how can we help more people to see that?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, beautiful, yeah, so beautiful. I firstly want to acknowledge your sharing your past and I think this is a big part of why I'm so excited and Amelia, we're both so excited and Amelia, we're both so excited to be hosting this retreat with you. Is that money, you know? I remember my mum saying to me oh, there's three things you don't talk about, you know money, religion and politics. Yeah, well, actually, no, it's the opposite the more you can communicate and the more you realise that actually, we're all human and we all have probably the same hurdles, the same doubts. But what are the main things that are hurdles for you living your best life? We're all conditioned, aren't we? We all need a house over our head.

Speaker 2:

So your story about your humble beginnings well, this goes back to way back into evolution, the human ability to create an axe and to create fire. We're evolving human beings and the way that homes and the way we look at our homes, if we look at them as their extensions of who we are and our life force, energy. There is so much amazing architecture, especially when you go to retreats in Bali, you just think, oh my gosh, I'm not crazy to think that I could live in a utopia world where utopia is paradise. And I think, relating back to what we were talking about in the real estate component, about you know what would be some advice to first homeowners is create something beautiful out of what you have, to be grateful for what you have. When we go on these retreats to Fiji and Bali and Nicaragua they are developing countries you get humbled. You get humbled. And why are people from California paying to go to Nicaragua? Because it takes this burden and this pressure, especially if you're coming from Hollywood, of having to be like you said in our previous interview about keeping up with the Joanses. It's giving them permission to let down all of these barriers, all of these masks that they have to hold in their everyday life in the middle of Hollywood. Okay, we're not in the middle of Hollywood, but we still have that conditioning today.

Speaker 2:

So if we can align ourselves with our heart's purpose, which is what our truth is, who you are as a real person in your heart, and then allow that to be the fuel that fires all the choices and the synchronicity and it's not by chance, it's by being aligned, because being aligned, matt has a personal training background. Being aligned is getting up, it's doing the work. It's getting up at 5am meditating, it's choosing to eat the right food, but what happens is we get on these treadmills and we keep going and keep going and keep going. We get knocked and knocked and the energy to sustain that consistency is what starts to wear us down. Retreats are perfect because sustaining the energy is having a coach.

Speaker 2:

You know you're a coach, you're a facilitator, you're a mentor, and that's what coaches do they? When you're at your lowest, they give you that energy and pep to say look, here is another way out. That's what you do as a financial advisor and that's what we were talking about with the homes. You know what do you look for in your first home? Take the veil away and actually see where's that little glimmer that you can follow and there is an opening and a pathway out. You know we us as human beings we have so much potential, so much potential, unlimited potential. You know we only use. They say 90% of our brain is all subconscious and we're operating in the 10%, 10% space. Yeah, you know, of our brain is all subconscious and we're operating in the 10%, 10% space yeah.

Speaker 1:

You know, that's incredible, you know, because what I often look at is the comparison. I'm so lucky to be where I'm from originally and I look at my country, you know, tajikistan, and I look in New Zealand and I can compare the two countries and the lifestyle that my children have that I didn't have. I mean, look, you know, we had electricity shortages constantly, especially during winter. So I grew up in a house that was constantly cold and I had to do my homework with the candlelight. As romantic as it sounds, it wasn't, you know, and actually I still love candles, which is lovely, I think it just brings me back to that. Every time I want to humble myself, I light a candle, because it gives me back those memories of being cold, being hungry, and just sitting there with that feeling reminds me of how far I've come, what I've achieved and how grateful I am for that experience, to have had that and to come out with gratefulness in mind and abundance in mind, because if I achieved all of that, anyone can achieve anything. Really, we all can, you know, and it's really that mindset that we need to work with is you can either sit here and compare yourself to someone that has more than you, appears to have more than you, or you can actually get up and do something about it. You can, you know, as you say, you know, eat better, look after your body better, because when you move those energies around you, you start meeting people that match your energy levels. And that's what I've discovered, especially in the last 12 months.

Speaker 1:

The life challenges that I had you know at first, as that I had you know at first, as the live ball hits you in the face in the game of dodgeball, you stand there for a second and you go, oh my God, what just happened? And that's what I had to do. You know. I had to stand there for a moment, think about what was happening to me and then make a quick move and not get stuck in that stale energy. And by doing that I've created this magnificent life that I have right now. That look, it's still got its own challenges coming at me. You know there will always be noise, but it's your reaction. How do you react to life things that happen to you?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and what I'm loving, I love chatting with you, like when we first had that chat. It's so amazing because it's an energy you know, and what I really am picking up again from your energy is there's momentum. There's momentum in the energy of our conversation, but the ideas and the concepts and that is, you said, you know, you get hit by that ball, that dodgeball we talked about it earlier in those changes with the real estate, covid, pivoting, keeping going, keeping the momentum, keeping the consistency, keeping the energy going and not getting stuck down. You know that is the energy of your life force, your life force. And prana in yoga is energy. In Te Reo, māori, it's modi. You know, here in New Zealand we say modi, you know, modi, ora. These are concepts, you know, but what it is, it's the same thing energy. And when your energy and when you're aligned and you're tuned in to who you are authentically, as who you are, you're tapping in, you're tuned in, you're aligned and the energy just flows. And how do you sustain that? You must be healthy. You must be healthy, you must recharge yourself and recharge body, mind and spirit.

Speaker 2:

And I think what I'm really loving about this opportunity is to integrate what we see as the business world, the entrepreneur world, with spirituality, and that's what's happening in our conversation. They say two things which are very unlikely. You put them together, what do you have? You have innovation, and that's what we're doing on our retreat, because you are combining your amazing financial experience and knowledge with something which seems very unlikely, which is spirituality. Well, actually, let's take the spirituality out of it, let's make it appealing, but really we know it is. Put the health and wellbeing into it and there you go. You've got something which is innovative, which everyone. It's those taboo subjects again.

Speaker 1:

And I think you know it's really interesting because a lot of people ask me the question of when do you have the time to do it all? You've got four children. You're running a business, don't you get tired? Of course, I'm a human being. I get tired, just like everyone else. You know I get grumpy with my children, just like everybody else. And boy, that's.

Speaker 1:

The last three weeks and two weeks of school holidays have really tested me. But what I do with those feelings when they come over me is up to me. I'm the one that's controlling them right, so I'm the one that can sit down there and go. You know what, guys? I'm tapped out right now, so I actually need to recharge. And, funny enough, you know how divine things always happen in our lives and I was sitting there going oh my God, I'm absolutely tapped out, I need to wind down today, and I get a message from Chelsea saying hey, I'm running a sound healing tonight. Do you want to come over? Because I've got a space, and I said absolutely. So. It's just things like this that you've got to listen to your body, because what we do in the careers of yours and mine, we deal with a lot of people.

Speaker 1:

We deal with their energies as well, and it's really a big task, you know, to have all this balls in the air and making sure you're not getting affected by this, and just like we charge our phone every night, just like we charge our computers, you know we need to recharge ourselves so we can provide for others, because everything we do, really it's very selfless. I'm not doing this to benefit myself. What I'm doing is I'm spreading my knowledge to help others.

Speaker 2:

Yes, yeah, and that's the key I love, exactly love where you landed on there, because that's exactly your life purpose, our life purpose. We are not rocks Individually. We're not rocks, we're a community. We talked about the community of.

Speaker 1:

Carpenter.

Speaker 2:

Coast and how it's laid back. I think that's what I love about it and connecting with Chelsea and all like-minded people is that we all want the same thing. We all want harmony, health, happiness, joy. We want time. You know time is a big factor. If you have time to be grateful for what you have in front of you, which is your children, and you have health, and you can enjoy it all, then what that actually means is that everything you do is of service, because you're part of a community. You're part of the joy that is created with the connections that you're making and the impact that you are making in someone else's life. If you can come into someone's life and give a little bit more light, so whichever space you move out of, you've left light. Well then, you just keep that fire within you, that energy within you just keeps burning and burning, and burning and burning, and there just seems to be this reciprocal love. Yeah, and it is.

Speaker 2:

You see all of these most amazing thought leaders and entrepreneurs out there. They are creating hospitals, they are making changes. They are creating hospitals. They are making changes. They are investing in science. They are funding colleges. You know they are of service to uplift humanity in countries lots of different ways, and I think that's what's really exciting about when you are tuned in, tapped in, you know who you are. Well then it's this pouring a spring of where can I make some more impact and help and be of service and shed a little bit more light. We can be as completely humble as when we go to Fiji, when we go and visit a little village and take some donations, or, with Retreat Yourself NZ, which is our goal, is we end up funding a school in Fiji or another country, because we go back to that place every year and I've seen it in Nicaragua. It's what we did.

Speaker 2:

So it's not like a dream, it's actual, tangible proof. When you have tangible proof of how you can impact someone and you do it every day with your financial advising, you are giving them absolute proof that they can manifest and bring physicality to their dreams. And retreats are that reset. We talked about recharging because in order for everybody to go out there and do the amazing things that they're doing, taking that time for yourself, having a mentor, a facilitator, a coach that has your back, that is giving you the tools to help you keep going. So this world could be amazing. It's not putting blinker on that. There are challenges, but it's so that you are resilient. I don't really like to use the word resilient, but we can keep going. We can keep the momentum.

Speaker 1:

I'm excited, I'm genuinely excited about this retreat. I think it will be a fantastic experience to share my knowledge with those that have chosen to be there. You know, nobody forces them to come to this retreat. They choose to be there and it's a private island. I'm really looking forward to it. I've never been to Fiji and, funny enough, earlier this year, I put Fiji on my list of countries that I wanted to visit. So it's going to happen. Yes, it's going to happen Amazing, you know. So let's talk a little bit about our retreat. That we're doing. Yes, do you want to share some information about where we're going and what sort of stuff?

Speaker 2:

people should be expecting Fabulous, absolutely, so. It is on a small island. Like you said, it's a private island called Toborua Island. So we have the main island of Fiji and we would be travelling down to the southeast coast, getting on a boat and going across to our own private island. We have beautiful buoys which are all beachfront and obviously access is by boat. It's an all-inclusive retreat, so it's all their food, the food's inclusive, so everything that we do there. So it is in October it's October the 24th to the 29th of this year, so there is time to get in there and we'll share the website and the links to look into it. So there will be three main facilitators there and, of course, our beautiful Zeba Niso is the crux. We created this retreat with you in mind after we had that amazing conversation, so it was pretty much we created the retreat around you.

Speaker 1:

No pressure now for me, no pressure at all you.

Speaker 2:

No pressure now. For me, no pressure at all. So, with Retreat Yourself, nz, we've branched out into the corporate retreat space, so we have the beautiful personal retreats that we do, but our impact is corporations and businesses, because you already have a network of people who are fuelling and have focused ideas in order to bring this bigger idea alive in business. So you're quite a beautiful blend between being corporate and also being personal, because you are a brand, you are the brand. So this works out beautifully because you will be hosting and the heart of the abundance. It's called limitless living, and limitless living is really what it is. It's having no boundaries, no limits, but being able to see where you can shift and pivot and explore new options, be curious about other ways of thinking, to be limitless.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and Amelia and I, we will be co-facilitating the health and wellbeing aspects yoga, daily yoga. We'll also have activities. There's scuba diving, beautiful beach activities around there. We'll be doing breath work, meditation. So there is a strong body, mind and spirit component. And then, of course, financial abundance, and the word abundance is really not limited to finances. It's about a state of being, it's about living limitlessly, where you will take opportunities, where fear does not even come into the realm.

Speaker 1:

And if the fear does come in, what I'm hoping to equip our retreat goers with as tools how to overcome that fear Absolutely, because we, as humans, fear is our natural feeling. One of the first, you know, ancient instincts in us is fear and love. So when fear overcomes your body, your mind, you know how can you fight it and through breath work and through other tools that you can implement that will teach them at the retreat. I'm hoping they will walk away knowing that Because, look, I've been there.

Speaker 1:

There've been moments in the last 12 months where I sat there with that fear, looking that fear in the eyes about my finances, about my life. You know as my world crumbled around me as I mourned my 15 year marriage. You know that fell apart is what's the way forward? How can I do it on my own? And I was lucky in the sense that I was already in finances. I knew more than most women going through separations knew. So for me it was just sitting back with that fear and going hold on a second. I know these things. I know I can do it Go away, you know. But how can I equip those people on our retreat? So retreat is open to females and males, absolutely. We're not just female exclusive.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, absolutely. Again, another beautiful point to highlight there is that this retreat is actually perfect for couples. We already have a couple that's interested in coming because finances it's intertwined. It's intertwined Legacy leaving your legacy marriage. There are so many layers in that. I mean you don't need to be a couple to be doing this retreat, but it is actually perfectly aligned for that, because normally there's one partner who's a spender and one who's a saver. Yeah, being working together, getting you on the same page, maybe one's a little bit more flippant and one's a bit more fearful and, you know, careful.

Speaker 1:

And that's what I see. In the last 15 years of finances, that's what I've come across. You know that there are various personalities at play and when you put them together, that's where most marriages fall apart is because when people can't speak finances in the same language that can be comprehended by both, this is where marriages start to crack and fall apart. And you know, one of the things I really want to teach at the retreat is around the money languages and how can you understand what's your money language and how can you talk to your partner about those things? Even if your partner doesn't come on the retreat, you can at least take those tools and go home and use them. Or if your partner does come on a retreat, even better.

Speaker 2:

We can implement it right there, right there, absolutely Having that opportunity to work individually with you on the retreat, in a relaxed atmosphere, in an atmosphere which is abundant in that it is everyone. What does most people want in their life? They want freedom, they want time. When you set your goals, it's always about that holiday in Fiji. But if you're in that space, you're already there, you've created that reality. Then you can have the inspiration, the inspired action within you to go.

Speaker 2:

Yes, I'm committing myself to the life that I want to live, the dream life. It's not living the dream, it's living life. And then, when they're in that space, they're with you and then there's almost like a barrier, a layer that's already removed that enables the truth, the real, deep truth, to come out and to unpack the truth. For people can be very hard and they go through years and years of therapy to unpack the truth. But in a setting like this and I've seen it and that's why retreats are transformational and that's why I am a lover of retreats, you know, hosting them, doing them, is in that space, the space that's been held. It's like when you travel, when you go and travel, all of a sudden these amazing things happen. It's because you've let go of your house. You've let go of your car. You've let go of who you think you are, all the masks that you wear, and you're free.

Speaker 1:

Nobody knows you and time slows down. Absolutely Do you find that, like when we're living our everyday life, right, it's Monday to Friday, it's go, go, go. You know there's not enough hours in the day, but when you're away on the retreat the time just completely changes and it slows down.

Speaker 2:

Beautiful yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 1:

But what I wanted to say, kim as well, is that after that retreat, what I would love to offer to our retreat goers is a three-month follow-up. So after the retreat, they will have access to me and my team and we can sit down with them and dive deeper into their goals or show them how to make those goals happen. So that's my ultimate outcome of it that they're not just going to retreat, spend five days with us you know six days and then go. They're actually going to leave and still have access to me and my team and carry on that relationship so we can help them achieve further goals.

Speaker 2:

And that is so invaluable, like that is invaluable to be able to have access, and that's the thing. As people, we are so busy. You have your family, we have our partners, but having access to you individually, to, to me, to Amelia, those are the steps beyond a business or a brand and that's what defines the difference between exceptional, because it's service that goes beyond, which is actually heart service. You know, and this might be the language of spirituality, but it is actually the truth. When you talk about you know the authenticity. It's like you don't just come here, you're actually a lifelong friend and I would like to see and support you through your family legacy, because that's what we've got on there. Creating legacy, because that's what happens in real estate. We don't just sell one home. We keep in the family for years and years and years because this is a family legacy. You know health and wellbeing, and years and years because this is a family legacy. You know health and well-being and mentorship and friendship. These things are timeless.

Speaker 1:

You can't buy. You know, and that's the thing, money can't buy you those connections, those relationships and something beautiful you said as you walked in today we talked about that my mum is in the other room, she's doing pain by numbers. And then you said in today we talked about it, my mum was in the other room, she's doing paint by numbers. And then you said something beautiful Could you please repeat it?

Speaker 2:

Oh, so, so, gorgeous. So the other day I had actually I don't know where I was, but someone had said to me oh, it's like painting with numbers, it's like each little number that you paint, they're like the people or the experiences that you've had in your life, and then you put it all together and there's this amazing painting. Yeah, and I was like, oh God, that's really amazing.

Speaker 1:

I love that I'll be your colour, right, yep, but that's true, isn't it? It is Like we bring these people into our lives and they feel a certain colour and look. Black has its space. You know, sometimes you have to have that black to show us the shadows that walk behind us. You know, you've got to have the whites, you've got to have all the other colours and then, as you say, you put it together and it's a beautiful painting if you actually step back. But you say you put it together and it's a beautiful painting if you actually step back. But you know the trick with paintings you've got to take a step back to see the big picture. If you're standing up close, you can never see the full picture that it is and how magnificent it is.

Speaker 2:

And I think that's a really beautiful point about us as human beings. We are always evolving, so we always want to grow and evolve. But if we could drop into the simplicity of meditation and yoga and nature, which is, you cannot force a flower to bloom it does it at its own time, but the consistent efforts of the watering the sun, eventually you look back and there's this great, big, huge sunflower. We are always in a rush, and what you said about the Fiji retreat is that there's time we need to take, sometimes, some steps back and actually go and do the sound healing and relax by doing that. It's so profound. It gives you the space and the clarity to put everything back into alignment and then to keep moving. We're so driven, driven, driven. That's our conditioning all the time have to be doing this, this, this, this and this.

Speaker 2:

Well, actually, with the health and wellbeing space at the moment, why is it so popular? Why is it the most flourishing business in the world? It's because people are realising fight or flight. It's not hitting all the buttons. We do need to step back and we need to take care of ourselves. We need to slow down, slow down, slow down, step back. Have a look at the big picture. We're all racing to get into those retirement homes and that's what you see in real estate. Yeah, it's like, really, where are the experiences, where's the joy, where's the time? Especially us as parents, we know how fast our children grow.

Speaker 1:

Too fast, Too fast. My baby girl is turning five this year. In a month's time she's off to school and it's mind-blowing for me. I was just pregnant with her the other day and then she was a baby and now she's off to school. What, yeah? So we really need to slow down and think about what's ahead and the difference we can make. Kimmy, it's been fantastic talking to you about this retreat. I think it's going to be amazing and I really think the right people will come on this journey with us and will make some amazing connections, and our paint-by-number picture of this Fiji retreat will just look incredible and I cannot wait. So for those that are interested, we'll drop a link below our podcast and below a couple of you know the videos. Wherever it is, People can find us on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, et cetera. So it's going to be across there and I hope the message of love spreads across that we're just human beings having a physical experience on earth.

Speaker 2:

Thank you so much, stephanie, so it's been an absolute pleasure. You inspire me so much. Thank you Likewise. Thank you so much.
